Botanical Garden

Discover colourful tulips, lush rhododendrons and bright roses or subtropical plants and succulents in the architectonically unique, award-winning show house.

Relaxation for all the senses

On a hill left over from the last ice age as a remnant of the Linth glacier, a well-tended garden has thrived for over 60 years. Experience the blaze of colour of the tulips and rhododendrons, the lush summer flora or the bright autumn foliage from April to October between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Free guided tour and an attractive range of classes

Join one of the free themed tours of our 17,000m2 garden on the first Sunday of every month at 11a.m. Full moon meditation under the open sky, accompanied by a certified yoga instructor, are just as much a part of the Botanic Garden's course programme as macro photography classes from fotoschool.ch. Customers of the Zürcher Kantonalbank receive a 20% discount on selected classes.

Interactive tours for primary schools from the Canton of Zurich: work documents, classroom and ZVV tickets are provided free of charge.

Public barbecue areas

During opening hours there are two barbecue areas available, one of which is covered. Please bring your own food and drinks and leave the barbecue area, tables and benches clean and tidy.
