Village Chronicle Room Rüti

The modern but over 100 year old village chronicle is located at the time-honoured official building on the site of the former Premonstratensian monastery in Rüti.

It exhibits history of the monastery, temporary exhibitions, is available for research about industry, country and people and offers guided tours. Worth seeing are the surrounding historical buildings and the monastery church that has been built in 1214, burial place of the counts of Toggenburg.
