Sound Machine Museum

The Sound Machine museum in the silk factory of Dürnten is one of the largest of its kind in Switzerland and displays the entire range of mechanical musical instruments.

Discover mechanical masterpieces from small cylinder music boxes to orchestrions and huge fairground organs. But that's not all! A nostalgic merry-go-round, a cinema organ from the silent movie era and puppet machines complete this incredible sound machine collection.

The rooms of the exhibition and the organ hall are designed to reflect the corresponding eras.
